Adam Gawarecki is the new Executive Director of the San Patricio County Economic Development Corporation and began his post in December 2020. He has served as Vice President at the Denton Economic Development Partnership/ Denton Chamber of Commerce and has been active in various other cities throughout Texas, including the Temple Economic Development Corporation and San Antonio Economic Development Foundation as Vice President. He has also done extensive work in the private sector as the Director of Real Estate for McLane Group and as Vice President for World Economic Development Alliance. Adam was named one of the top 50 economic developers in North America by Consultant Connect in 2019 and is also a member of the Texas Economic Development Corporation. Adam graduated from The University of North Texas, focusing on International Business and Economics, with a minor in Marketing. He has also completed all CEcD certification course work for the International Economic Development Council.
Becky Gallagher handles the SPCEDC's day to day operations including purchasing, accounts payable, payroll, and grant administration. Other responsibilities include management of SPCEDC budget in coordination with the Executive Director, and oversees partner relations and member services.
Mark Zans coordinates mapping and GIS activities, creates and distributes maps, aerials, and other geographic products and updates and maintains the geographic database for the EDC.
Responsible for marketing San Patricio County and the San Patricio County EDC. Duties include creating literature to carry out the San Patricio County EDC's goals, developing marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic. Maintain the company's social media and research aviation companies for STAAR (South Texas Aviation & Aerospace Recruitment), housing, economic development, and legislative matters. Provide advisory services on environmental concerns. Evaluate current environmental policies. Duties include raising organizational awareness on conservation sustainability and advising on current and foreseeable environmental damage; analyze inspection data to understand pollution and contamination levels. Research and recommend new processes to reduce environmental impairments. Oversee environmental legislative issues for industrial clients. Work on various research projects related to these issues or directed by the SPCEDC Executive Director.
